Payment Methods & Declined Payments
This page explains accepted payment options, payment security, and what to do if a transaction is declined.
If your payment is declined
If a card payment is declined, you’ll need to place a new order. Declined orders cannot be reinstated.
Recommended checks
- Confirm your card details are correct (including the expiry date).
- Re-enter the security code (CVV)—the three-digit number on the back of your card.
- Contact your bank/card issuer. They can confirm why a transaction was declined.
- Try a different card or an alternative payment method if available.
Next steps
- If the decline is related to 3D Secure authentication, please contact your bank for details.
- If you see an error message, contact us and include the message text and any relevant details so we can assist promptly.
Security & privacy
We take payment security seriously. Checkout uses encryption to protect your information in transit, and we follow PCI-DSS requirements where applicable to help safeguard card data.
To reduce fraud, card transactions may be subject to verification by both us and your card issuer. Depending on your bank, you may be asked to complete 3D Secure authentication (for example: a one-time code, biometric confirmation, or two-factor verification).
For authentication requirements and limits, please refer to your card-issuing bank.
